Reading in the age of digital transformation

In January 2025, the Warsaw Central Library hosted the exhibition "Design for Digital Reading - Designing for Digital Readers", the result of an international educational project Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Projects.The project arose from the need to understand how technology is changing the way we read. The participants - students and lecturers from Hasselt University PXL-MAD (Belgium), IPCA Barcelos (Portugal) and PJAIT in Warsaw - sought answers to questions about designing for the modern reader, the role of typography and changing reading culture in the digital age.

The event was enhanced by the lecture "Design for Digital Reading. Insights for Future Horizons" led by experts: Ann Bessemans and Kevin Bormans. Experimental typographic designs were also presented.
