JICA x PJAIT edition no. 2

You are cordially invited to a unique event - an open tea ceremony in the Omotesenke tradition, which will be held as part of the Cross-Culture Workshop Week at PJAIT!
May 15, 2025 (Thursday)
Time: 17:00
Building A, Room A1
The tea ceremony (Japanese: chanoyu or sadō) is the traditional Japanese ritual of preparing and serving matcha tea. It's not just brewing the beverage - it's an art form and meditation that combines aesthetics, hospitality and attention to every gesture and detail.
The event will feature the ceremony at the Omotesenke School, one of the main traditions of the Japanese art of tea.
The ceremony will be hosted by Toshiro Tamada - professor and pro-rector of Tokyo Zokei University. He has also worked at Aalto University in Finland and Tohoku University of Art and Design in Japan.
The event is part of Cross-Culture Workshop Week, curated by Jan Piechota and Jakub Karpoluk.
Special thanks to Ursula Mach-Bryson for supporting the event.
