A webinar for candidates from Vietnam is coming soon!

We are proud to announce that Arkadiusz Modzelewski, a Ph.D. student pursuing a doctorate in cooperation between the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology and the University of Padua, is the author of the paper "PCoT: Persuasion-Augmented Chain of Thought for Detecting Fake News and Social Media Disinformation", which has been accepted for the ACL 2025 conference - one of the most important conferences in the field of AI!
The paper presents an innovative approach using knowledge of persuasion strategies to increase the effectiveness of disinformation detection using large language models (LLMs). Analyses were performed on two new datasets published in the paper, among others: EUDisinfo and MultiDis, containing content published after the knowledge cut-off date of the language models.
Congratulations on this impressive achievement and we are happy to see our doctoral students contributing to global science and the development of tools to combat disinformation!
The ACL 2025 conference will be held in Vienna in July.
