Description of the chair
The chair conducts teaching and research activities in the field of information technology applications to support information and decision-making processes in the management of modern organizations. The chair employs outstanding specialists in numerous areas concerning both information technology, information systems design, project quality management, and applications of information systems in production management and business. These include full-time employees PJAIT, colleagues from other universities, and experienced business practitioners - entrepreneurs and consultants.
Teaching activities
The staff of the chair teaches the following subjects:
- Internet technologies
- ERP integrated information systems
- Information systems design
- Designing websites and web services
- IT project management
- Information technology in management
- Human-computer interaction
- Production management
- Manufacturing, integration and testing of information systems
- Data warehouses
Scientific activities
The chair's employees are engaged in scientific activities related to the above-mentioned teaching activities and are authors of many monographs and textbooks on the design and application of information systems in business.
Project and laboratory classes
The chair's classes include design and laboratory classes that introduce the specialized field chosen by the diploma student.
Classes are conducted in the well-equipped premises of PJAIT - at its headquarters in Warsaw at 86 Koszykowa St. Depending on the needs, classes are held in lecture halls - equipped with high-quality multimedia equipment - or in specialized computer laboratories (e.g., exercises in the use of ERP software, selected information technologies or system design).
