Description of the chair
Chair of Programming Methods is engaged in teaching and research in the field of computer science and applications of computer science, especially in modeling, forecasting and decision support. It employs - as permanent employees and associates - specialists in the above-mentioned fields. They are full-time employees of the Department of Information Management PJAIT or associates from WI PJAIT and other renowned Warsaw universities such as SGH, as well as practitioners (e.g. business systems architects or SAS Institute employees).
Teaching activities
Chair of Programming Methods employees teach courses in the following areas:
- Fundamentals of computer science and programming in management
- Object-oriented programming
- Methods and techniques of economic decision-making
- Intelligent management systems
- Business Intelligence on the SAS platform
- Business process modeling and CRM systems
- Advanced methods of managerial decision-making
- Programming workshops
Scientific activities
The chair's staff and associates are engaged in scientific activities related to, among other things, computer science, economic process modeling and decision support systems.
Project activities with students
The KMP includes project classes for the specialty area of Managerial Decision Support Systems.
Laboratories
Chair of Programming Methods courses are conducted in the well-equipped premises of PJAIT - at its headquarters in Warsaw at 86 Koszykowa St. Classes are held in lecture halls equipped with high-quality multimedia equipment and in specialized computer laboratories.
