On October 3-5, 2025, the Copernicus Science Center hosted another edition of the Festival of Transformation, whose theme was "Empathy. For the naive or the brave?".

During this year's edition, participants had the opportunity to look at the topic of empathy from the perspective of neuroscience, evolutionary biology, artificial intelligence and ecology. Festival events - exhibitions, concerts, meetings and installations - encouraged reflection on empathy not only towards other people, but also towards entire ecosystems.

The program included sounds made by corals, the singing of extinct bird species, interactive technological installations and concerts combined with visuals prepared by students of PJAIT's New Media Arts Department.

The team, consisting of Darya Budkina, Ludwika Bialkowska, Zofia Gałązka, Eliz Kolat, Karolina Krygicz, Umay Mulazimoglu, Nika Pilipenka, Daria Prasolova, Daria Salash, Maria Sidorova, Yana Shamshur, Veronika Wisniewska and Tong Quoc Viet, developed the visuals for the JANKA duo's concerts at the Planetarium. Artistic supervision of the project was provided by Sefa Sagir.

The festival exhibition also featured an interactive installation "52°14'35.3″N 21°02'05.3″E (Vistula)" by Sefa Sagir and Kaja Modzelewska, combining 3D scans of nature and the human body into a single, evolving organism responding to environmental data in real time. The work, created using 3D Organic Growth Modeling and Photogrammetry methods, shows the coexistence of the physical and digital worlds in a dynamic, sensory form.

The participation of students from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in the Festival of Transformation was a source of pride for us. Their work and involvement showed how the young generation of artists can combine sensitivity with a modern approach to art and technology.
