Specializes in the areas of: Databases, E-learning.
He graduated from the UW Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Mechanics, received his PhD and worked there from 1971-96. From 1984-86 he worked as a professor at the American University in Charlotte, NC. Since 1994, he has been employed at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, where he received his habilitation.
He is the author of more than a dozen books including: Analysis of Algorithms and Data Structures, Addison-Wesley, 1991 (co-author with A.Kreczmar, W.Rytter); Algorithms and Data Structures, WNT, 1996, then PWN, (co-author with K.Diks, W.Rytter); Databases. Application Development, Akademicka Oficyna Wydawnicza, PLJ, 1998; Database Management Systems, PJWSTK Publishing House, 2007 (co-author with K.Stencel); The role of universities and e-education methods and techniques in lifelong learning, PJWSTK Publishing House, 2011.
He has published his articles in such journals as International Journal of Innovation, Management and Technology, Information Processing Letters, Computer Issues, Fundamenta Informaticae.
He is the recipient of awards and honors including: Laureate of the 17th Mathematical Olympiad, 4 awards from the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Gold Cross of Merit.
