Welcome to Poland
Once again, the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology has become a beneficiary of the NAWA program and will implement a project called "Welcome to PJ". The total budget of the project is PLN 352,450.00. The project is financed from the budget of the National Agency for Academic Exchange and will be implemented in the period 01.09.2024 - 31.08.2026.
The goal of the project is to expand PJAIT 's capacity to accommodate and serve foreign students, doctoral students and teaching staff.
As part of the activities set out in the project, academy plans to implement the following activities in the first half of 2025:
- Trip of university representatives to educational fair in Lithuania
- Orientation Day - a two-day inter-semester event for PJAIT students
- PJAIT Tech Talks - networking meetings with an international group of PJAIT alumni
- Asian outdoor cinema - a film event on the university grounds
- Work-life balance workshop - an event for students to support mental health.
In the second half of 2025, academy plans:
- PJAIT Best Graduate Party - an event for PJAIT graduates at the end of the academic year
- Orientation Day - an event for new students to foster integration and familiarization with the university
- Two Upskilling Meets Up - meetings with specialists dedicated to PJAIT graduates
- Yoga workshops - workshops to foster familiarity with yoga techniques and integration among participants
- Ninja PJAIT esports tournament - a tournament organized as part of the activities of the Ninja PJAIT esports team.
The following activities are planned for the next 2026:
- Ninja PJAIT Gdańsk esports tournament - a tournament organized as part of the activities of the Ninja PJAIT esports team in Gdańsk
- Work-life balance workshop in Gdansk - event for students to support mental health in Gdansk
- Language tandems - integration meetings at language puzzles
- Asian open-air cinema in Gdansk - film event on the premises of the PJAIT Gdansk university
- Sushi workshops - workshops on how to make different types of sushi
In addition, as part of the academy project, it is expanding the operation of the Welcome Center, which provides integration support for foreign students, facilitating contacts with both the administrative and teaching sections. The Welcome Center is located in the Promotion Department of PJAIT (86 Koszykowa Street, building B, 3rd floor). The coordinator of the Welcome Center is Kinga Rudaś.
