CLARIN ERIC (Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure – European Research Infrastructure Consortium) is a pan-European consortium that grants legal status to infrastructures from member countries. It consists of representatives of ministries from consortium countries. In addition to PJAIT,PL includes five other Polish scientific institutions: Wrocław University of Technology (LEADER), the Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the University of Łódź, the University of Wrocław, and the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

ThePL teamPL with researchers from all scientific disciplines, focusing in particular on the humanities and social sciences. ThePL infrastructurePL unique on a global scale, as it was created specifically for the Polish language: it provides proprietary solutions that ensure accurate results for texts written in this language. It was established in 2012. Its aim is to provide a wide audience (in particular researchers, lecturers, and students) with specialized data sets, knowledge, and technical capabilities needed to conduct research on large amounts of text. This infrastructure is distributed, which means that its centers are scattered across various locations, mainly in Europe, but also in the US and South Africa.
