The level of maturity of an e-service and its usefulness have nothing to do with the user's education. Such a service is meant to make handling a matter as simple as possible. After all, e-services are used by citizens and entrepreneurs, not officials with training and daily contact with administrative procedures. E-administration is supposed to "take the citizen by the hand". What mistakes should be avoided during its design and what principles should be applied?
Probably no one needs to be convinced that a well-developed digital infrastructure, based on fast internet connectivity, opens up new opportunities for learning, work, acquiring knowledge, fulfilling one's ambitions, and entertainment. The EU Digital Strategy and the European Green Deal are two of the six priorities of the European Commission under the leadership of Ursula von der Leyen for the years 2019–2024. Importantly, they complement and drive each other. Digitalization is intended to help Europe achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Digital technologies can significantly contribute to achieving the goals of the European Green Deal through effective production optimization, emission reduction, and waste reduction.
