Gamification in business – practical applications and examples

Over the past two months, selected students belonging to the Game Lab research club have been working hard on their games.
Five teams competed in the Culture Jam: Myths & Magic project co-organized bythe Austrian Cultural Forum. Each team was tasked with interpreting a different element of Austrian folklore and presenting it in the form of a game.
It started with prototyping, the ideas were verified during Game Jam, and then, thanks to a huge amount of work and many cycles of feedback, refined games were created.
Each project is very unique, so we encourage you to play and see for yourself:
Finally, after lengthy deliberations by the jury, which included representatives from the gaming industry from companies such as Bloober Team and CD Projekt RED, "Schnabelperchten" was declared the winning game .
We would like to congratulate Team 4:
– Heorhii Pavlov
– Oleksandr Rozlutskyi
– Biana Rybchynska
– Yeva Svitelska
– Rafael Moroz
– Taisia Kazakevich
They showed great craftsmanship, but this is only the beginning of their journey. Now, the plan is to continue working on the game, providing mentoring and support, as their game will be showcased at the renowned industry event "Digital Dragons 2026."
To stay up to date with Game Lab's activities, we encourage you to join the club's Discord server and follow it on Instagram.
