Polish folk dance through Japanese eyes. WKJ on the “Japanese Kujawiak” project
Arkadiusz Modzelewski of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology has been selected as a recipient of the START 2026 program of the Foundation for Polish Science in the field of computer science and telecommunications.
The START Program of the Foundation for Polish Science is Poland’s longest-running fellowship program for the best young scientists across all fields of science. Its goal is to support outstanding young researchers and encourage them to continue their scientific development.
In this year’s 34th edition of the competition, the FNP recognized 100 young scientists under the age of thirty. A total of 807 applications were submitted, and the winners were selected through a multi-stage evaluation process of their scientific achievements to date.
The winners of the START 2026 program will receive an annual scholarship of 30,000 PLN. The total amount allocated by the Foundation for scholarships in this year’s edition of the program is over 3 million PLN.
