Study programs and syllabuses

Sophomore students of graphic design will receive a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of both selected areas of computer technology applications and graphics.

The IT subjects proposed in the curriculum include elements from such fields as: graphic design multimedia, graphic design internet, multimedia presentation techniques, digital printing techniques, creation of computer animation (2D and 3D), three-dimensional modeling, music and sound in multimedia presentations, special effects. Theoretical and practical knowledge is supplemented with practical skills acquired in specialized computer laboratories.


In the field of fine arts and design in the area of graphic arts, great importance is attached to providing students with a thorough knowledge that allows them to undertake independent creative activities, so students will expand their knowledge and skills in drawing and composition, painting and expressive forms, graphic design, printmaking, alternative design, photography, publishing graphics and advertising art.

The curriculum is based on the transmission and consolidation of knowledge about the mechanisms of visual perception occurring both in the process of creating images (all artistic activities in the field of visual communication: drawing, easel painting, graphic design computer, graphic design, digital print reproduction, multimedia techniques - film, video, animation, sound), and their reception by the observer, as well as the transmission and consolidation of knowledge about shape, depth, color, sound and movement as the material for creating images - the language of visual communication.

Rules of the Diploma Examination for NeMA

The thesis defense should take place after two years of study at the Faculty of New Media Arts. The principles and topics of the thesis should be consulted on an ongoing basis with the thesis supervisors: major, technical and theoretical.

Graduate Profile

The professional qualifications of graduates will enable them to make creative decisions and implement them consciously. Graduates will have an expanded knowledge of the function of art history in culture and society, and will be prepared to use traditional and modern means of artistic communication. The proposed profile of study will give our graduates a solid foundation for design in the following fields: advertising, short film forms, music videos, computer games, websites, user interfaces, and flat and spatial design of visual information. This profile of study will prepare them very well for work: in advertising agencies, in television, in art galleries, in cultural and educational institutions, in companies providing computer and Internet services, in film, in intercession institutions and in the visual setting of shows.

Thanks to the English language course, which is taught throughout the study period, graduates become fluent in English. This makes it possible to find work in Polish companies and institutions in positions where fluency in English is required, in foreign companies and representative offices of international organizations in Poland, as well as abroad. Graduates will be prepared to undertake third-degree (doctoral) studies.
