Recruiting for the Disinformation Detection Team.
We believe in a world where truth matters. That's why our goal is to create an info vaccine against online disinformation. We offer an exclusive online course on building a disinformation-resistant society. In it, we will use artificial intelligence to provide feedback after training AI to detect disinformation. To train AI, we need to create a training set of online articles annotated as disinformation or credible articles. This is the goal of the Disinformation Detection Team.
Acceptance of applications: until May 17, 2024.

Benefits for students selected for the Disinformation Detection Team:
- Receive training from debunking experts (June 4-5, 2024, online)
- You will receive a certificate confirming your qualification in debunking false information
- You will work with experts across Europe to search for disinformation
- All participating students will be included in the teams' online reports
- The five most active students will have the opportunity to attend the project's winter school in Cyprus, where they will evaluate a course on disinformation detection (February 2026).
- Earn extra money
- You can use the results of the project in your thesis
Recruitment criteria:
- Second semester full-time engineering (undergraduate) student
will be given priority over other applicants - Good internet skills
- Ability to critically evaluate web content in English (
level of language at least B2) - Opportunity to allocate a certain amount of time to evaluate online articles
from June 2024 to March 2025. - Interest in data science and NLP if you want to use the results of the project in your diploma
