We are pleased to announce that our student Marharyta Prykhodska became a finalist in the international poster competition on the occasion of the 550th birthday of Nicolaus Copernicus.

Marharyta Prykhodska studies at the Faculty of New Media Arts. She is currently finishing the third year of her bachelor's degree at graphic design (full-time, Polish-language mode).

She prepared her diploma thesis under the guidance of Dr. Anna Swiatlowska in the Graphic Design Studio.


About the competition

The international poster competition titled 550th birthday of Nicolaus Copernicus is addressed to students and graduates of the last 5 years after graduation.

The contest is held as part of the World Copernican Congress on the occasion of the establishment of the year 2023 as the year of Nicolaus Copernicus by a resolution of the Polish Senate. The Congress is jointly organized by the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The contest received 520 works from dozens of countries. The 12 prizes were decided by a five-member final jury consisting of:

The competition is organized by the University of Warmia and Mazury.
