1. could you share information about the unique features of the MBA program at PJAIT, which set it apart from other MBA programs?
The MBA program at PJAIT, was distinguished by its focus on the development of leadership skills, in the context of technology companies - managing products, often of the R&D type, and working with people who very often require a unique, individual approach. This allowed me to deepen my knowledge of effective team management in this type of organization, as well as structured development of innovative products,
In my case, it was also important to include the program over a period of 1 year, rather than two, as is the case with many other such programs that are not industry-focused - as a result of this approach, I felt that there was a really high density of knowledge during each class module, while at the same time clear paths were indicated for further expansion,
The program also offered an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and observations with outstanding people from IT (or industries close to IT) who have built products and understood problems in global organizations, often responsible for the success of those organizations.
2. Could you give specific examples of what aspects of the curriculum have been particularly valuable to your professional development?
Certainly one of the most valuable aspects was the hands-on activities in data analysis and decision-making based on that. This helped to better understand the approach to strategy in my industry, to look at the organization's architecture from other perspectives, and to more completely map the multi-level connections between the organizations we work with,
The program encouraged the development of interpersonal skills, conflict management, negotiation and general understanding of others, which significantly improved my ability to work effectively with my team and collaborate with other teams or business partners.
3. What was your experience of working in a team and collaborating with your classmates during your MBA?
Collaboration in teams was an important part of the program, helping to understand how to effectively communicate and resolve conflicts when working with different people - an especially interesting perspective when considering the broad experience and perspectives of the other members of the teams - these were, after all, teams made up of leaders and executives themselves, from different industries,
Fellows of the year were not only a source of really interesting discussions, but also valuable consultants in developing current projects, both private and corporate, but also in career planning, or positioning oneself in the job market.
4. How do you assess the quality of the classes taught in the context of an MBA program for the IT industry?
The presenters had a lot of experience in the industry, which meant that we had access to real-life cases, as up-to-date and practical tips from professionals as possible, and sometimes tips that go into the future, into problems that we may face someday,
The program was flexible and adapted to the changing needs of the industry, which allowed us to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in AI [AI in I think deserves an honorable mention in many contexts],
In many cases, the class time ended subjectively - far too quickly, leaving me - and let me confidently assume that I'm not the only one - with a sense of "we want more," "is it really already? - I have so many ideas and topics to discuss after what I heard!" - which I think is the best possible testimony to the level of the class.
5 How do you assess the value of your studies in terms of investment? Do you think the expense of your education will pay off in professional or personal benefits, and if so, how?
I think that the investment in the MBA will pay off for me in the form of further professional promotions and further career opportunities. ( The investment has already paid off in a way that may not be spectacular, but only due to the fact that during the start of the program I significantly expanded area my responsibilities in the organization where I work - another spectacular change I am sure is coming soon :) The program has also provided me with tools for self-development and skill-building, which are crucial not only at work, but also in my personal life.
