We invite you to listen to the podcast "Ile jest szōguna w Szōgunie" for wyborcza.pl as part of the "Sobotni Seans" series.

Radosław Czyż and Andrzej Kulasek ("Wyborcza TV") discussed the TV series Shōgun, the latest adaptation of James Clavell's novel available on the Disney+ platform, as well as Japanese culture and history, with dr. Jakub Karpoluk, a Japanologist, film scholar, theatre scholar, and... actor (who performed in Japan in a Noh theatre!), but above all, a lecturer at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw, who explained the differences between a tachi, katana, and wakizashi, and why it suddenly turned out in Japan that everyone is or used to be a samurai.
