We love to receive such news! Our graduate, Daniel Kotowski, has been nominated for the 2024 Passports of Politics in the Visual Arts category!

Daniel Kotowski graduated from interior design with a specialization in Exhibition Design at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. He is currently a doctoral student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. In his work he uses photography, videos, installations and objects, as well as performance. Importantly, he is the first Deaf artist to be nominated for the Polityka Passports. The intersection of two communities, which he calls "the world of the complete and the incomplete," is an important theme in his art. To quote the editors of Polityka, "Kotowski's artistic endeavors open a new cognitive and emotional perspective to understand the sensitivity and problems of this social group."

By the way, we warmly encourage you to watch the Project Spotlight video, which we prepared together with Daniel several years ago on the occasion of his exhibition at the Zachęta National Gallery of Art / Zachęta National Gallery of Art.

We warmly congratulate Daniel Kotowski on his nomination! Already on January 14, 2025, the awards ceremony will take place - we are keeping our fingers crossed that the iconic Passport will end up in the hands of our graduate.
