Project launch

March 6 and 7, 2023 are quite an event at our University! It was on these days that our students began classes at the WP Programming Academy.

The outcome of the course was the joint development of a client-server application (in the GO language), which allowed interaction between all course participants. Each participant received a certificate of completion at the end of the semester, and the final GOLANG credit grade will appear on the diploma supplement PJAIT.

Participation in the WP Programming Academy was a chance to start a career with a very good Polish technology company.

On June 20, a ceremony was held to award certificates of completion of the WP Programming Academy course. The course was specially created for our students and conducted by the professional IT team of WP, a flagship partner of PJAIT. 

As part of the WP Programming Academy, students learned programming in the #GO language, as well as project management and team communication, among other skills desired in today's job market. 

We would like to thank WP employees who were conceptually and organizationally responsible for creating the course: Radoslaw Dzierzedzki, HR BP, Pawel Milewski, VP Post and 1Login from WP, Pawel Karaszewski, VP IT, Aleksandra Rabenda, IT Project Management Director, Andrzej Butkiewicz, IT Manager, Aleksandra Radziewska-Wyłudek, Recruitment and EB Team Leader, Iwona Stutzka, Senior Recruitment Specialist.

We would also like to thank immensely Ms Marta Godzisz and Marta Zofia Myszewska from PJAIT for their cooperation with WP .

During the crowning event, the course was presented, and the result of the participants' work - a game of ships - was presented. It was a real live esports match, not only with an eagerly cheering audience, but also with WP sports commentator Marcin Musiał.

The event was honored with the presence of the Rector PJAIT dr hab. Jerzy Paweł Nowacki, the Chancellor PJAIT MA Maciej Rembarz, members of the WP board, lecturers, students and invited guests.

The course was a great success and we are already inviting students to the next edition. We are happy that PJAIT together with WP can create extraordinary opportunities for students to develop under the guidance of specialists and give them a chance to start their careers in a very good Polish technology company.
