Decoration of the Japanese government for Mr.Mitsuhiko Toho, professor at PJATK

On September 17, 2021, the ceremony of awarding the Or will be held at the Japanese Embassy in Warsaw.

On April 29, 2020, the Japanese government announced that it decided to award the Sacred Treasure (瑞宝章, Zuihō-shō), Golden Rays with a Rosette, to Mr. Mitsuhiko Toho, professor of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology.

Professor Toho has made a great contribution to the development of technological and cultural exchanges between Poland and Japan. He was seconded to Poland in the 1990s as an expert of the Japanese Organization for International Cooperation (JICA) to support the training of IT specialists needed in Poland and contributed significantly to the establishment of the Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology (now PJAIT) in 1994. Then he became involved in the management of the above-mentioned university, including the organization of classes on the Japanese language and culture of Japan and signing cooperation agreements with Japanese universities, thanks to which he contributed significantly both to the popularization of the Japanese language and culture in Poland, and to the development of scientific exchange between Poland and Japan. Professor Toho received a diploma from the Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2017.
