General information
Study description
As part of the implementation of the program, we are working with the company STM Cyber, using, among other things, the "HackingDept" platform for learning defense techniques against hacking attacks on your IT infrastructure. This system was created, while scenarios are updated by a team composed of members of the best Polish CTF groups - P4 and Dragon Sector. They have repeatedly confirmed their skills by winning the most prestigious competitions in the world. The modern society of the 21st century is an information society. Power and money are the two passions gripping civilization from ancient times to the present. It can be assumed that the statements that we have as much power - as we have knowledge, while we have as much knowledge as we have information - have entered the resources of popular consciousness. Already the breaking of Enigma security according to estimates shortened the Second World War by 3 years saving the lives of 30 million people. Thus, information has become an asset, enabling the exercise of power, warfare, including cyber warfare, and economic management in every dimension, which in a world rapidly changing thanks to developed information and telecommunications technology - makes information one of the basic goods. And the protection of basic goods is in the fundamental interest of the individual, business, society and civilization.
It is estimated that 2.7 zettabytes of data (21st power of the number 10) have been accumulated in the digital world. The amount of this data will double by 2025. Thus, we are faced with the challenge of skillfully managing large data stores on the one hand, and on the other hand with the duty and necessity to protect them in the best possible way, both during collection, storage and transmission. HackingDept is a closed, mobile environment, separated from the client's network. It combines a virtual laboratory and physical devices used during attacks. The whole is combined with telecommunications and application infrastructure - all embedded in consistent IT offensive security training scenarios.

The scenarios are divided into three categories, depending on the application:
- Training - systematic upgrading of security teams' skills, updating knowledge on the latest attacks - all in practice.
- Presentational - raising IT security awareness among the organization's employees in a pictorial and impressive way.
- Recruitment - verification of the practical skills of specialists recruited to the security team.
HackingDept considers all popular attack vectors for:
- web and mobile applications
- database systems
- diverse operating systems
- telecommunications infrastructure (GSM)
- embedded systems (IoT, PLC)
- network infrastructure
- access control systems
Who are the studies aimed at?
The study's target audience is those who wish to acquire the knowledge and skills to enter IT security cells, as well as those necessary for further development in the field of cybersecurity in a field of study chosen from among the many courses started during the study.
Candidates for postgraduate studies should be graduates of bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related fields, economics, engineering. Basic knowledge of: any programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C++), use of UNIX class systems (e.g. Linux, Solaris, macOS) is recommended. Knowledge of English at least at the B2 level is required.

Meeting with managers of postgraduate programs
No one will tell you more about the studies offered by Centre for Postgraduate Studies than those who created them. We invite you to watch and listen to the interviews with the managers of the postgraduate and MBA programs (including the head of CKP Ms. Marta Godzisz), conducted by Ms. Aleksandra Szyr.
